This 1966 Lotus Cortina Mk 1 series II "Airflow" is the same model that Jim Clark drove to win the British touring Car Championship in 1966. Finished in the iconic Lotus Cortina livery, this well presented genuine example was built as part of the special order for Ford USA and badged as “Indy 500 pace car” editions to commemorate Jim Clark’s 1965 win at the brickyard.

Early on it was raced by privateer in SCCA events on the West Coast no significant race results. Following this it was exported to Japan via New Zealand and sympathetically converted to right hand drive, it raced at Fuji and many Lotus Club Japan events. In the early 1990's the Engine was freshened and further developed (brake booster moved to interior, heater removed, half cage (now removed)EBC pads, Koni inserts in rebuilt shocks, electric fuel pump, alternator, electric fan etc).
